In Queensland you have to be a Registered Backflow Prevention provider to install, maintain or decommission a backflow device.  TAFE Queensland and other Training Organisations provide a course which will give you an endorsement on your Plumbers license.  This course is called - SSCPC0002 Commission and Maintain Backflow Prevention Devices.

Each fiveyears a Backflow revalidation endorsement must be completed to ensure you are up to date with your backflow skills.  This course is called Plumbing backflow revalidation NONOAC04022
